Kwesi Nyantakyi was accused of corruption and irradiated from any type of activity linked to the modality, having yet to pay a 440 thousand euros fine, decided FIFA

Kwesi Nyantakyi stepped down from office in early June after a documentary that unveiled what eventually proved to be negotiations with potential "investors" who, in exchange for lucrative contracts with the Ghanaian government, offered "gifts" worth millions of dollars.

The trial commission charged the former leader, who was in office between 2005 and 2018, of multiple breaches of the FIFA Code of Ethics relating to conflict of interest and active corruption.

Meanwhile, FIFA and the Ghanaian government have agreed on the creation of a Committee for the normalization of the function of the Federation (GFA).
