One of the most upset players after Botafogo's 1-0 defeat against Flamengo on Thursday evening was Joel Carli. The Botafogo center back did not like the way Flamengo players celebrated their win on the pitch - as they usually do - and has a little chat with coach Jorge Jesus. The argument heated up and both Carli and Jesus had to be calmed down. The Argentine player says he only defended himself.
"He [Jorge Jesus] insulted me. That's why I was upset. But never mind, it's part of the game. I think it was a very tight match because our pressure worked really well. Unfortunately, we lost one player [after Luiz Fernando's second yellow card] and we came under heavy pressure. Still, I think this should have been a draw," said the visibly upset Argentine player.
