After 48 hours, there are less chances of finding the 720 kilograms of gold taken by a band of undercover federal police.
Very difficult. This is the assessment of the summit members of the Civil Police of Sao Paulo, in relation to the chances of recovering about 720 pounds of gold stolen at Cumbica airport, last Thursday (25th), by criminals disguised as federal police.
According to delegates heard by Folha, some reasons explain this difficulty: first, because the crime was committed by a well-organized gang and, therefore, there was probably already a destination for the material, even before the theft began. A second reason, linked to the first one, is that the gold can be easily melted, making it virtually impossible to trace its origin. Although found, in a new format, it is not possible to guarantee that it is the same material carried by the criminal group.
