The pontiff's visit will take place in the context of the World Meeting of Families.
Pope Francis will meet with victims of sexual abuse during his visit to Ireland on August 25 and 26, the Vatican announced today.
"The holy priest will meet with victims" of sexual abuse, said Vatican spokesman Greg Burke during a press conference on the Pope's upcoming trip. "The important thing for the Pope is to listen," Burke said, adding that the victims will decide whether to publicize the meeting or not.
