Pope Francis receives bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Angola and São Tomé (CEAST)
The Angolan and Sao Tome bishops have been in Rome since June 9, for the traditional "Ad Limina Apostolorum" visit. During the visit to the Vatican, the episcopal mission of Angola and Sao Tome met with the most diverse Congregations and Dicasteries of the Roman Curia.
"Contacts of faith and communion, in the light of the latest and current exhortations of the Supreme Pontiff and the journey of the Church" are the aspects observed during the visit, said CEAST spokesman, D. Belmiro Cuica Chissengueti.
One of the highlights of the Ad Limina visit is the presentation to the Pope of the full report on the situation of the dioceses in Angola and Sao Tome. "In this report, the bishops report their administration to the Pope and the Holy See. It is a detailed report on the general situation and the specific state of each diocese. This report must be delivered up to six months before the visit and not less than three at the beginning of this visit ", he explained.
