According to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, the boat that capsized this Saturday, killing 29 people on Lake Victoria, was carrying more than double its 50-people capacity.

The boat capsized Saturday night in the vicinity of Mukono district, near the capital Kampala. Curious onlookers crowded the banks while the corpses were being rescued from the lake.
