Santos Silva assures that none of the mechanisms that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has at his disposal allowed to confirm if the pilot is really Portuguese.
Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva says that the government is trying to clarify the identity of the pilot who was captured in Libya after the plane he commanded have been taken down during a battle.
At the time of his arrest, the pilot in question claimed to be Portuguese and to be 29 years old. So far, explains Santos Silva, in statements from Brussels, there is still no data to clarify whether what the man claimed is true.
