Mussulo Peninsula is one of Luanda's most sought after tourist sites. But the region still lacks many basic services, as its inhabitants claim
The local administrator, Mário Sócrates Vigário, says he does not stand with arms across and is doing everything to reverse the situation. With an estimated length of 30 square kilometers, the island of Mussulo is located in Talatona city and is one of the best known touristic places in Luanda, inside and outside our frontiers. However, in some cases, its fame contrasts with the lives of the local citizens.
Schools, medical centers, drinking water and transport so that their inhabitants can travel to greater Luanda, are still lacking. Mussulo resident Joaquim Miguel, told our article that "life is normalizing. We already have some medical posts and some schools that are already helping a little, although they are not enough for all of us", he lamented.
