Supermarket is forced to compensate pregnant employee who urinated on her clothes after not being allowed to go to the bathroom

Walmart is ordered to compensate pregnant employee forbidden from going to the bathroom during work hours

A court sentenced Walmart Brazil to pay BRL $5,000 in compensation for moral damages to a former pregnant employee who urinated on her clothes after not being able to go to the toilet

While pregnant, the increased volume of fluid circulating through the body forces the kidneys to work a lot more than usual, this results on a pregnant woman needing to go to the bathroom more often. In addition, the baby's weight presses the bladder down and increases the urge to go to the bathroom.

Imagine, then, not being allowed to go to the bathroom and ending up urinating yourself during work hours.

This happened with a pregnant woman from Capão da Canoa, in Rio Grande do Sul.
