Notre-Dame will hold the first mass after the fire this weekend

The cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris

The Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris will reopen for the first time to the public next weekend for a mass to mark the date of the dedication of the temple, which was affected by a devastating fire in April.

The news was published by the Catholic magazine Famille Chrétienne, and confirmed this Monday by the bishop and dean of the cathedral, Patrick Chauvet.

Two months after the fire that destroyed the roof and part of its interior - on April 15 -, the cathedral will be prepared for the weekend to mark, with a mass, the date of the dedication of the cathedral, which is traditionally June 16.
