The SEF detained a minors "facilitator" at Lisbon Airport after having landed a flight from Luanda
The detainee is suspected of people trafficking and aiding illegal immigration. In a statement, the Foreigns and Border Service said that the man was acting as a "facilitator" and arrived in Lisbon on Friday accompanied by two minors, aged 13 and 15, who were detected by SEF inspectors in the international zone of the airport.
According to the SEF, the minors were unaccompanied and one of them was physically weak, with obvious signs of illness in one of the lower limbs. That security service emphasizes that the minors and the "facilitator" had completed the route between Luanda and Lisbon to the city of Praia, in Cape Verde, in contiguous places, and the tickets were purchased jointly by the man in custody.
