Justice of Botswana Decriminalizes Homosexuality

Action reverses the act of 1965; gay relationship is still a crime in 32 African countries.

In a victory for the African LGBT community, Botswana Justice decriminalized on Tuesday (11) homosexuality, until then prohibited in the country's Criminal Code since 1965.

The provisions of the Criminal Code relating to same-sex relationships are "nullified," said the Judge Michael Leburu of a court in the country to the southern Africa.
