Hong Kong airport with limited services

The airport, the eighth busiest air hub in the world, has been a frequent target of pro-democracy protests.

The Hong Kong authorities are limiting transportation to the airport and controlling access to terminals. These are preventive measures due to the protests planned for this weekend.

The express train service runs directly from the central Hong Kong station to the airport, skipping all intermediate stations and only those with airline tickets can enter the terminals, airport officials said.

Bus services will also be adjusted to ensure that traffic does not accumulate in the surrounding areas of the airport.
