Macau's gastronomy is one of the highlights of the mega promotion "Feeling Macau - Portugal" in the Lisbon Ttavel Market (BTL), which runs until Sunday in the Portuguese capital, said today the officials from the territory managed by China.
The promotion was launched this week by the Macau's Public Tourism Office and, among several activities, it will have culinary demonstrations by Macanese chefs and a local food truck.
Minchi and bafassá pig are two of the highlighted dishes at the Lisbon Travel Market, and are a way of promoting the gastronomic culture of the mixture between the east and the west, as well as the designation of Macau as UNESCO's Creative City in gastronomy, can be read in the statement.

On Friday, in Porto, after the inauguration of an exhibition with drawings of attractions and street environments of Macau, the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Government of Macau, Alexis Tam, underlined the friendship and potential to be created new dynamics in the relationship between the two cities.
"With tourism occupying a central place in Macau and Porto, there is an ocean of opportunities that our twin cities can explore in the diverse ramifications of the tourism industry, including culture and events such as Macau Art, but also heritage, gastronomy or tourism training", he said.
Macau, which was under Portuguese administration for more than 400 years, became a Special Administrative Region of China on December 20, 1999, with a high degree of autonomy agreed over a period of 50 years.
