Eating vegetables and reducing waste are solutions for feeding the world population

A study in the journal Nature reveals that there are ways to feed 10 billion people in a healthy way.

A planetary choice for healthier, more plant-based diets, halving waste, and improved agricultural and technological practices could be solutions to feed the growing world population, according to a study released on Wednesday.

The study, on how to feed 10 billion people in a healthy way by 2050, says that adopting such practices reduces the risk of overcoming global environmental limits related to climate change, arable land use, freshwater consumption and pollution of ecosystems with excess use of fertilizers.
