Angolan taxpayers owe 1038 millions dollars to the treasury

The tax and customs debt of Angola's taxpayers up to December 31, 2017 is estimated at 323 billion kwanzas (1038 million dollars), according to data provided by the General Tax Administration (AGT).

From this amount, 38% corresponds to interest and fines that are no longer collected by the AGT, under the Exceptional Tax and Customs Debt Regime that will allow taxpayers to pay the debt without interest and fines until December, 2019.

To this end, taxpayers must adhere to the mentioned regime already in force from January 2 to July 30 of this year, by requesting or filling a form available at tax offices, according to the Angop news agency.
