The confrontation occurred inside a property owned by the family of former Assembly president José Riva
An armed confrontation at Bauru Estate, a property in Colniza (1,066 km from Cuiabá) owned by the family of former state MP José Riva (PSD), left seven people injured on Saturday morning (Jan 5), Civil Police sources say. According to information collected in the crime scene but not yet confirmed by police, two people have been killed.
Apparently, the gunfight involved estate guards and members of the Landless Movement attempting to trespass into the property. The injured were rescued and given medical care in the region.
