Footballers save a lot - even in their education
Footballers playing in the major Portuguese leagues, both male and female, are more likely to manage their income than the Portuguese population at large.
Footballers have a short-term career and are more and more and prepared for the moment they hang their boots. They usually make financial savings, although almost one-third of them do not invest seriously in education as their plan B - also because their football career does not allow it.
This data is included in a pioneering study in Portugal to which JN had exclusive access, and which will be presented in Bragança this Tuesday.
