Four people are suspected of having participated in 'spawning' of armaments
A fisherman told police in a statement that an ally of the reformed PM Ronnie Lessa, suspected of shooting the city councilwoman Marielle Franco, hired his boat and threw six rifles into the sea shortly after the police officer was arrested. The information was published by the newspaper O Globo.
The Rio de Janeiro Homicide Office, which investigates the case with the state prosecutor's office, confirmed that a witness had testified that weapons had been thrown into the sea, but did not say who the witness was or how many weapons he had seen.
