Drone shows first images of isolated Amazon tribe

To get close to the natives, the team traveled more than 110 kilometers in "boats, trucks and motorcycles" and about 120 kilometers on foot through the dense Amazon forest.

The images were captured by a drone operated by Funai (National Indigenous Foundation) during a routine expedition to monitor and protect indigenous groups that are isolated from the civilized world. These are the first images of this tribe, which, according to the organization, has never had any contact with the outside world.

Shot in 2017, the video was released on Wednesday and shows a clearing in the Javary River valley, near Brazil's border with Peru, where several indigenous people can be seen walking - one of them carrying what appears to be a spear.
