One in four Brazilians reports having a close relative involved in substance use

A month after President Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) passed a law that extends the possibilities of involuntary commitment for drug addicts, Datafolha research shows that this type of treatment has broad support from the population.

Eight out of ten Brazilians think that chemical substance addicts should be committed, even if against their will, to treat their addiction.
