The system recognized three million faces in Salvador; only one outlaw was identified
A man was arrested on Tuesday (March 5) in Salvador after being recognized by the facial recognition system set up by the Bahia Public Security Secretariat in accesses to the main Carnival circuits. Marcos Vinícius de Jesus Neri, who had an arrest warrant in his name, accessed the Barra-Ondina circuit on Tuesday at 5.15 pm and was identified by the cameras.
He was wearing the costume - a wig, a hat and makeup - of cross-dressing group 'As Muquiranas', whose parade theme this year was 'Cabaret'.
