Angola  to enact laws to fight internet crimes

Angolan President João Lourenço, assured in Luanda that the country will have a legislative package that will safeguard the correct observance of the security requirements of public and private data in the use of information and communication technologies

The head of tsate made this statement at the opening of ICT forum "ANGOTIC 2018", which runs until June 21st, focusing on the potential and development of ICT and new business solutions. Concerned about cybercrime and all the harmful effects that may result from the incorrect use of ICT, João Lourenço said that the Executive is concerned with ensuring a legislative environment that safeguards the correct observance of the security requirements of public and private data. The president warned that, in the globalized world of today, cybersecurity should not be neglected by any of the users of ICT, starting with the State, or by companies and institutions, as well as citizens in general.
