"Controlled urning record reflects Bolsonaro's irresponsibility"

Climate Observatory pointed out that the actions of the federal government contributed to the increase of deforestation in the Amazon.

The coordination of the Climate Observatory, a network that brings together around 50 non-governmental organizations in the country in favor of actions against climate change, reacted to the insinuations made on Wednesday, by the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro - that NGOs would be involved in the controlled burning of the Amazon - and said the record of fire outbreaks seen this year is just "the most visible symptom of Jair Bolsonaro government's environmental anti-politics."

In a press release, the coordinator of the Climate Observatory pointed out that the actions of the federal government contributed to the increase of deforestation in the region and that "the fire reflects the president's irresponsibility with the biome which is the heritage of all Brazilians, with the health of the Amazonian population and the climate of the planet, whose changes feed the destruction of the forest and whose destruction fuels climate change, in a vicious cycle. "
