Angola's president visits Vatican at Pope's invitation

João Lourenço, is going to the Vatican State on this Monday, 11th, for an official visit of two days at the invitation of Pope Francis.

The highlight of the agenda will be the meeting between the President and the Head of the Catholic Church that is expected to take place Tuesday. The program reserves for Wednesday a tribute to the first ambassador of the Kingdom of Congo to the Holy See.

This way, João Lourenço will deposit a wreath on the grave of Dom António Manuel Nvunda "Negrita."

A visit to the most emblematic monuments of the Vatican, such as St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, is also planned.

This will be the first meeting between the two heads of state.
