After Barack Obama, it will be the turn of former US Vice President Al Gore to attend the International Climate Change Leadership Conference, the second edition of which is scheduled for March 5-7, 2019, at Centro de Conferências de Alfândega and Coliseu Ageas (Porto).
The Nobel Prize winner will be joined by several international speakers in an initiative held by Taylor's and the Porto Trade Association. The purpose is to discuss the challenges that climate change poses to the global wine industry.
Obama visited Porto in July to discuss climate change and criticize the stance taken by his successor, Donald Trump, on the issue. In March, it will be Al Gore's turn to attend the international Climate Change Leadership conference.
As he has been doing since he left the US administration, Obama's former number two will advocate environmental protection policies to mitigate the effects of global warming.
