Thibault, 30, said his first steps with the exoskeleton made him feel like the "first man on the moon." His movements, especially walking, are far from perfect, and the technology has only been used inside the lab. But the team of French researchers who created the device say this approach could one day improve the quality of life of people with spinal cord injuries.
