The "flying car" developed by Embraer X, Embraer's subsidiary for disruptive business, will be an aircraft for "the masses," as the president of the unit, Antonio Campello, said. Inside, it is planned that the vehicle will look like an SUV. The company has disclosed the model yesterday in Washington, USA, during an Uber event about air transportation. The two companies work in partnership developing projects in that area. There is still no public schedule for the presentation of Embraer's aircraft and, therefore, it isn't known if the Brazilian company will participate in the first tests planned by Uber already in the next year.
Yesterday, the American company revealed that it will test the vehicles in 2020 in the cities of Melbourne, Australia, Dallas and Los Angeles, USA. São Paulo, which has the world's largest number of trips in the transportation app, was referred to receive the pilot, but it was changed by the Australian city. In January, governor João Doria (PSDB) even received a Uber team to talk about the project.
