Edgar Zambrano, Juan Guaidó's congressional deputy, has been charged with "treason to the motherland."
Edgar Zambrano, opposition leader and vice president of the Venezuelan National Assembly, was arrested Wednesday night (May 8) by agents of the SEBIN (Bolivarian Intelligence Agency). An arrest warrant had been issued last week. Zambrano has been charged with "treason to the motherland."
Zambrano, who is Juan Guaidó's congressional deputy, is a member of the Democratic Action Party, and was at the party headquarters when the agents arrived.
