President Jair Bolsonaro has again defended US President Donald Trump following a two-nation approach to discuss a trade agreement and intent on appointing US Representative Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP) as ambassador to Washington.
"I don't want to attack Trump, who is my idol, by any chance," said Bolsonaro, in a quick interview with journalists after a ceremony at the Planalto Palace to present the "Doctors for Brazil" program, a replacement for "More Doctors".
The comment was made in response to a question about US immigration policy. In Planalto, Bolsonaro criticized the PT for, according to him, separating families by bringing Cuban doctors to Brazil during the program More Doctors. He was asked if Trump did not do the same by isolating parents and children in deportation proceedings.
