Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto said, in Johannesburg, South Africa, that he "welcomes" Angola's intention to join the BRICS, but warned that, to do so, it will have to give clear signs of growth and development
The minister spoke to the press about the participation of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in the 10th Summit of the five main emerging economies of the World. According to him, one of the challenges that needs to be overcome is connected with improving the business environment.
"In his speech, the President of the Republic said that he hoped that soon the acronym BRICS would have other letters. We hope the next one is an A. But we know that to get there we need to do a lot more," he said, referring to the BRICS.
