Portuguese Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva will visit Luanda on February 14 and 15 to meet with his Angolan counterpart Manuel Domingos Augusto, the Foreign Ministry (MNE) announced. The purpose of this visit is to ramp up the already close bilateral relationship, as well as to prepare Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa's visit forthcoming visit to Angola.
The MNE says that the Portuguese delegation will include the Secretary of State for Internationalization Eurico Brilhante Dias and the Deputy Secretary of State and Finance Ricardo Mourinho Félix, who will address financial cooperation issues involving Portugal and Angola.
Another important topic of the visit will be the monitoring of the Vocational Training and Technical Education Revitalization Program (RETFOP) and of the Resilience Strengthening and Food and Nutrition Security Project (FRESAN), two cooperation projects funded by the European Union and implemented by Instituto Camões.
