National Guard represses all 20 opposition mobilization points.
The repression of the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro began early on Wednesday (the 1st) in all the 20 meeting points organized by the opposition. People were still arriving with their flags and caps - many in groups of friends, couples and families - to the affluent area of Altamira, late in the morning, when the Bolivarian National Guard began to siege the protesters.
These, in turn, erected some metal or improvised barricades with garbage bags and building materials to keep the officers from getting closer. It didn't help as the obstacles were overturned. The officers charged the peaceful demonstration, which didn't have the presence of groups of hooded people or members of La Resistencia, who are usually armed with stones and Molotov cocktails.
