The institution announced the decision on social media; the museum accepted the booking without knowing Bolsonaro was involved
The New York City Museum of Natural History took to Twitter today (April 15) to announce it will not host the gala that will present Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro with the 'Person of the Year' award.
"With mutual respect for the work and goals of our individual organizations, we jointly agreed that the Museum is not the optimal location for the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce gala dinner. This traditional event will go forward at another location on the original date and time."
