Mariana Vieira da Silva will be the Presidency Minister, Nuno Santos will be Infrastructure Minister, and Nelson de Souza will be in charge of EU funds

After Pedro Marques was announced as the head of the Socialist Party's list to the European Parliament elections, it was known that there would be changes in the cabinet. Secretaries of State will be promoted to ministers.

It will be official soon: the President already has the new cabinet names. Mariana Vieira da Silva is the new Presidency Minister, while Pedro Nuno Santos will be the Minister of Infrastructure. Nelson de Souza, currently Secretary of State for Development and Cohesion, will be in charge of European Community Funds.

The fourth change involves Duarte Cordeiro, Lisbon's Deputy Mayor, who will be the new Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs.
