Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has also asked former President Dilma Rousseff to have the strength to "keep fighting by attacking and not by defending" herself in a letter for her birthday.

In the document, posted by Dilma herself in her profile on Twitter, Lula said he is prepared to face the future Minister of Justice and Public Security, Sérgio Moro, and his conviction. Dilma completed yesterday, 14, 71 years.

"Dear Dilma, I am writing to congratulate you for another anniversary, may you have the strength to keep fighting by attacking and not by defending yourself," Lula said, in a letter published today by the former president himself. He further stated that he will not trade his "dignity for his freedom."
