Saluting an "outstanding member of the Chinese Communist Party" (CCP) who "has always been faithful", the New China news agency honored a "remarkable proletarian revolutionary."
Li Peng died on Monday at 11:15 pm (12: 15 pm GMT), "due to an illness, whose treatment turned out to be ineffective," wrote this state-owned agency without giving further details.
