The PT leader denies any unlawful behavior and slams the allegations behind the suit

Fernando Haddad, the former mayor of São Paulo and defeated presidential candidate (PT), has been charged with passive corruption and money laundering as a result of UTC's contractor Ricardo Pessoa 'whistle-blowing'.

Judge Leonardo Barreiros (5th Criminal Court of Barra Funda, São Paulo), has filed a lawsuit against Haddad, thereby accepting an indictment from the Public Prosecutor's Office regarding an alleged bribe request of R$3 million to pay off campaign debts.
