Opposition leader Juan Guaidó has called for demonstrations next Thursday, Friday and Saturday after renewing his oath as Venezuela's "interim president" and "parliament leader."

"The call to the streets... This is the time to stand up and act with resolve. Let's take to the streets this Thursday, Friday and Saturday." Guaidó also called for a protest next Tuesday, saying during a press conference in Caracas that "we are all going to the National Assembly together."

The opposition leader was sworn in as Parliament leader after being ratified by opposition votes last Sunday in a session that took place without electricity and in which the military tried to prevent his entry.
