São Tomé and Príncipe appoints first ambassador to Maputo

Carlos Gustavo dos Anjos is the first São Tomé and Príncipe ambassador to be accredited in Maputo

Filipe Nyusi congratulated the Government of São Tomé and Príncipe for the decision to appoint an ambassador to Mozambique, noting the strengthening of cooperative relationships between the two countries.

"In this endeavor to serve the people with responsibility and selflessness, they can count on the support of Mozambique and its people," said the Mozambican Head of State.

Gustavo dos Anjos lives in Luanda, where he is also an ambassador.

At the same occasion, the Mozambican Head of State received credentials from the new ambassadors of the United States of America, Dennis Hearne; of Rwanda, Claude Nikobisanzwe; of Thailand, Thosaporn Moonlasarthon, and of Malta, José Manuel Pintos Teixeira.
