During a meeting with João Lourenço, the Russian president said he wants to intensify trade and economic cooperation with Angola, especially in diamond mining, fisheries, and space exploration.
"Angola has been a trusted partner for a long time. We will see what we can do to boost trade and economic relations. There are some promising areas, including diamond mining, fisheries, and space exploration," Putin said at the end of a meeting with João Lourenço at the Kremlin, as part of the Angolan president's visit to Russia.
Putin mentioned other areas in which the two countries could cooperate, especially education and the training of human resources.
João Lourenço said he is committed to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
"Russia has been successful in areas such as mineral production, education, defense and health care," João Lourenço said, adding that Angola is also seeking Russian cooperation in other areas, as well as Russian investment to help diversify the country's economy.
