Portugal is not attending the inauguration ceremony of Nicolás Maduro

According to Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva, Portugal will not be represented at the inauguration of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro"s new mandate on Thursday.

"We had an exchange of views this morning in the scope of the Latin American working group [of the EU], and this will allow Portugal to form its decision, and we made public that we will not be represented at the political level in the inauguration ceremony of President Nicolás Maduro", said Augusto Santos Silva.

The minister spoke after the seminar on Cooperation, Culture and Language, promoted by Camões - Institute of Cooperation and Language, in Lisbon.
