Macau bars entrance to the leader of the Occupy student movement

A student from Hong Kong was prevented from entering Macau yesterday. Yvonne Leung is a law student and, according to RTHK, was one of the leaders of the Occupy student movement in 2014.

According to the station, the girl tried to enter Macau yesterday's afternoon, but the territory authorities ordered her to return to Hong Kong, alleging there was strong evidence that she would engage in activities that could be dangerous to public order.

The case has already received a reaction from the Hong Kong Civic Party. In a statement, the party condemns the decision of the Macau Government, saying that it is unreasonable and deprives residents of Hong Kong of the right to travel freely.
