The Venezuelan Attorney General stated today (October 10) that city councilman Fernando Albán was not murdered in prison, as the opposition claims, and reiterated that the politician committed suicide.
Tarek William Saab said the autopsy report determined that Albán died due to the impact of falling from the tenth floor of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (SEBIN) last Monday. "He died as a result of the impact of falling from a height... there was no evidence of physical abuse prior to that fall," Saab said, reading excerpts from the document.
