Hamilton Mourão, Bolsonaro's vice presidential candidate, says that Brazil made a mistake in allying with 'rascals' in Africa and Latin America.

Jair Bolsonaro's vice presidential candidate, retired general Hamilton Mourão (PRTB), said on Monday (September 17) that poor families "without a father and a grandfather, but with a mother and a grandmother" are "factories of misfits" ready to go into drug dealing.

He was criticizing advocates of "particular agendas," "which they try to impose on society as a whole," and which are leading to the dissolution of the nuclear family. He was not explicit, but his argument is analogous to that used by critics of homosexuality.
