Bolsonaro says he was wrong to insist on the demarcation of indigenous lands by the Ministry of Agriculture

For the president, it is compatible that 86% of Brazilians are against mining in indigenous lands.

On Friday, President Jair Bolsonaro acknowledged that he made a mistake in signing a new provisional measure seeking to transfer the responsibility for demarcating indigenous lands to the Ministry of Agriculture.

One day before, the Federal Supreme Court defeated the president by unanimous vote and maintained the demarcation prerogative to Funai (National Indian Foundation), a body linked to the Ministry of Justice.
