During a closed lunch at the White House on Tuesday (19) with the participation of Brazilian ministers and President Jair Bolsonaro, US President Donald Trump said he's going to work to make Brazil a full member of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), the military alliance led by Washington.

During Bolsonaro's trip to the US capital, Trump's government designated Brazil as a very important extra-NATO ally, a title which identifies strategic US partners that are not part of the alliance and have a more symbolic character.
