French Ecological Transition Minister Nicolas Hulot announced his resignation on Tuesday, saying he was disappointed with the lack of progress in combating climate change.
"I do not want to lie to myself, I do not want to give the illusion that my presence in the Government means that we are moving forward, so I make the decision to leave the Government," added the minister who embodies the third most important figure of the French government.
