US President's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, changed his party option and joined the Democratic Party
Michael Cohen's attorney, Lanny Davis, twitted on Thursday that his client changed his party affiliation from Republican to Democrat. Cohen made the move "to distance himself from the values of the current Government."
The move came on the eve of the deadline, which is Friday, for New Yorkers to register to vote in the November elections.
Michael Cohen Cohen pleaded guilty in August to eight federal charges. Cohen said the President of the United States of America instructed him before the presidential election of 2016 to buy the silence of porn star Stormy Daniels and a former Playboy model who claimed to have had sexual intercourse with Trump.
Cohen has since collaborated with special prosecutor Robert Mueller, who heads an investigation into alleged Russian interference in those presidential elections.
