One of the targets of the latest stage of Operation Car Wash, launched earlier today (Dec 10), is Fábio Luis da Silva, the son of former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. 47 search and seizure warrants are being served.
The suspicion is that companies within the Gamecorp/Gol group, controlled by Fábio Luis da Silva and others, received suspicious money transfers from the Oi/Telemar group, which may have been benefited by the PT administration in return. Totaling R$132 million, the payments, carried out between 2004 and 2016, have allegedly been used to buy the Atibaia estate (São Paulo) which the former president used to frequent.
